Ph.D. student (1st year) at the University of Tokyo, Dept. of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Nakasuka-Funase-Ikari Lab. Building SynTopic, a knowledge structuring platform spun out of research on knowledge engineering and model-based development for satellite systems.

Timeline

  • 2019 Apr -- Entered the University of Tokyo. Joined RoboTech (robotics club), responsible for software/control. Competed at world championship.
  • 2021 Apr -- Entered Dept. of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Joined Matsuo Lab AI team. Won 2nd place at WRC 2020 AI robot competition.
  • 2021 Nov -- Developed the world's first drone-type CanSat. Won 1st place in Japan. PM and software lead.
  • 2022 Apr -- Entered Graduate School of Engineering, Dept. of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Nakasuka-Funase Lab. Led satellite software development for CubeSat missions.
  • 2023 Apr -- Started research project on knowledge structuring and model-based development, drawing on satellite development experience and knowledge engineering research.
  • 2025 Aug -- Founded SynTopic Inc. as a University of Tokyo startup, to bring the research outcomes to production.

Interests

Structured knowledge, distributed systems, and the quiet patterns of the natural world. Coffee, music, travel, and Shih Tzu dogs.
